Ke-design relishes projects like this one—a quintessential 1950s police house, modest in appearance with its tan brick exterior, originally constructed from a standard plan awaiting modernisation.
This two-and-a-half-bedroom dwelling was ripe for transformation into a home with three comfortably sized bedrooms.
The ideal solution presented itself with the option to sacrifice the third bedroom, strategically located to facilitate a side first-floor extension over an existing single-storey element with a flat roof.
On the ground floor, the client's needs were straightforward: a modest single-storey rear extension would create an open-plan kitchen, dining, and living area.
Additionally, there was a requirement for a substantial double garage, generously proportioned in both height and length to accommodate the client's camper van.
