ke-design is the design experience of Craig Marston.

Having experienced architecture, design & life around the world, Craig has brought his experiences back to his home town of Oswestry to offer a refreshing solution.

A young designer with particular experience & focus on high quality house design, providing a bespoke response to each client and their sites characteristics. Giving a quality solution for its inhabitants. To provide the client with high quality living spaces and functionality while marrying it with an interesting form.

It is ke-design's philosophy that a good design shouldn’t cost the earth, whether it’s modern or traditional- in fact, good design can be more economic than a poor design.

• Good design can be delivered economically. Improving your quality of life.
• Good design can increase the market value and saleability of your property offering the client with solutions that they didn’t think were possible.

Meeting the clients brief is ‘key’ to our aims in finding the right concept and the solution. Whether it is working closely with clients on private residential projects (or developers on a housing development) including both new build and alterations to existing properties.

Craig Marston- Director

Having studied Architecture & Architectural Technology at Huddersfield University, Craig obtained with a BSC(hons) Architectural Technology (2:1).

On his year out Craig gained residential experience at SBS Design, developing his skills in space planning for one-off houses and barn conversions while learning how to extract the clients wants.

On leaving University, Craig stayed in Huddersfield gaining employment with Carey Jones, followed by Chetwood Associates, before being offered employment at Benoy with the pull of London being too great. It’s Craig’s design development ability, cad knowledge and hard graft that resulted in an offer to be part of setting up Benoy’s Hong Kong office.

The following 2½ years saw Craig working on the award winning ‘Elements’ Mall Kowloon & APM Retail Mall, Kwung Tong, as well as the residential section of a competition winning mixed use tower in Vietnam.

Responsible for design development, 3d modeling, and presentation while undertaking the day to day role of Cad/IT manager. This was an important factor in helping the office run smoothly & efficiently during rapid growth from 5 to 150 staff.

After settling back in the UK, Craig accepted the chance to be reunited with fellow ex Carey Jones colleagues at the award winning Architecture 2b, a young but well experienced rising practice. Working on bespoke residential as well as ‘Shine’, Leeds- a £3m LEGI Funded conversion of a listed school into a businesses incubation centre.

Returning to London Craig’s experience was required by RHWL to work on IQ Tower, Doha. As a Team Leader, responsible for coordinating design, structure, M&E and landscape with other teams and consultants.

Craig’s extensive experience brought him back to Oswestry by local developer to execute the modular constructed Bloc Hotel,  18 months later Craig set up ke-design and enjoys working with his own clients.
